Katzkin Before & After Transformation Video

There are a variety of different Honda Civic trim levels and it can be hard to know which trim has the options you really care about. At Katzkin, we recommend you decide what options and features are most important to you and focus on those. Getting caught up in all the extra add-ons, many of which aren’t “must-haves” for you, will only complicate matters.

One of the most common features many people want in their Civic is a leather interior.¬† Simply put, you would have to purchase at least the EX-L trim in order for your car to come with leather from the manufacturer. But if leather or temperature seats are the most important features for you, we recommend purchasing the lowest trim level, an LX, and adding Katzkin leather. This is the least expensive trim but it comes with most of the features people care about. You’ll save thousands of dollars by adding leather to a car with a lower trim. But if you really want a Civic with a sunroof, you’ll have to purchase an EX or higher.

Civic Trim Levels

Here’s a quick breakdown of the different Honda Civic trim levels and what each one includes. This is not a comprehensive list of every feature included on all of the trims. Instead, we’re showing you some of the most commonly asked about features. We can replace cloth or leather seats with a variety of different product options. Even if your car already comes with leather from the manufacturer, we can replace it with high-quality, custom leather, chosen by you.

LX

The LX is the base trim level for the Honda Civic. It doesn’t come with leather, heated seats, or Android Auto/Apple Carplay. However, it does come with Honda Sensing and Driver Assistive Technologies, a 160-watt audio system with four speakers, 16-inch wheels with full covers, a multi-angle rearview camera with guidelines, and automatic climate control.

Sport

The second-lowest Honda Civic trim level is the Sport. While it doesn’t come with leather or heated seats, it does come with Android Auto/Apple Carplay, one of the basic features many people want. It also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, automatic climate control, sport pedals, push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more.

EX

The EX is the most inexpensive Civic trim that comes with heated front seats. It doesn’t come with ventilated seats or a leather interior. Like the trim levels beneath it, the EX comes with Android Auto/Apple Carplay and a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. It also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, Honda LaneWatch, a push-button start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a one-touch power moonroof.

EX-L

This trim is the lowest that comes with leather seats. It also comes with heated front seats, a one-touch power moonroof, Honda LaneWatch, a 180-watt audio system with eight speakers, a 7-inch display with high resolution, 17-inch alloy wheels, and of course Android Auto/Apple Carplay.

Touring

The Touring comes with a leather interior, heated front seats and rear seats, a one-touch power moonroof, 18-inch alloy wheels, Honda LaneWatch, LED headlights, a 450-watt premium audio system with 10 speakers including a subwoofer, a satellite-linked navigation system, a push-button start, Homelink remote system, and more.

Why Should You Choose Katzkin?

There’s a whole host of reasons to choose Katzkin for your car’s leather interior. For instance, if having leather seats is the only reason you want a higher trim level such as an EX-L, you can easily save more than $4,000 by purchasing an LX instead and adding Katzkin leather to it.

Civic Trim Levels: Quality and Choice

A lot of our customers tell us that they prefer Katzkin leather over OEM seats because they get to choose from a huge variety of designs without sacrificing quality. We can make your seats as custom as you’d like. With more than 120 different colors, materials, and designs to choose from, it’s almost impossible not to find the design you’re looking for. But, if you can’t, you’re also more than welcome to design your own seats and we’ll make them for you. This is one of the reasons we replace OEM leather with Katzkin so much of the time.

Temperature Seats

If you want heated and ventilated seats added to your car, we can do that with our Degreez package. We can add up to three levels of heat and three levels of ventilation to your seats. Most people that purchase a Civic, get lower trim levels that don’t come with temperature seats. In fact, none of the Civic trim levels come with ventilated seats.

Model Years

Most of the Civics we work on, and we work on a lot, are brand new. If you’re like most of our customers, you’ll purchase your new Civic and take it to a Katzkin installer to get new custom leather added. But we frequently work on older cars too. In fact, we can install leather in Civics as old as 2006, regardless of the current seat materials in your car.

Leases

Approximately 25% of people, or one out of four, in the US, lease their vehicles. Leasing can be nice because it gives you a lower monthly payment and if you have a business, you can easily write it off on your taxes.

When leasing, if you want to add additional features such as bigger wheels, rhino liner in the bed, etc., you have to pay for those items over the course of the lease. For example, if you want custom rims and tires to go with your new car, and they cost $2,500, you either have to pay $2,500 upfront or add it to your monthly payment. If it’s a 36-month lease, it’ll cost you an extra $69.44 every month on your lease.

The beauty of Katzkin is that they can residualized on your lease. That’s a fancy way of saying you won’t have to pay the entire cost of the seats over the course of the lease. After all, you’re not BUYING the seats, you’re just adding them to your lease. This can cut down the cost of your lease significantly and save you money!
